House moves across Saltdean and East Saltdean, planned around sloping avenues, steep driveways and the A259 coast road.
Saltdean's curved 1930s avenues climb both sides of the valley from the A259, so getting the van and loading spot right matters more than the distance. Send us both addresses and a photo of your frontage, and we'll plan the van, crew and unload order before the day.
Many Saltdean homes sit above or below the road on sloping drives. We check the angle from your frontage photo, so the tail lift goes where it's level and the heaviest items are loaded first.
In a bungalow most of what you own is on one level, which keeps loading quick. Loft conversions with tight turns and sunken lounges in Art Deco homes need a plan for wardrobes and sofas, so we'll tell you what needs dismantling before move day and handle the furniture dismantling and reassembly for you.
Summer beach traffic on the coast road and the school run around Saltdean Primary slow everything down. We load early and take the route over the Downs when the A259 is jammed.
Usually not. Most Saltdean streets have driveways and uncontrolled kerbs, so a bay suspension is rarely needed. A few roads near the seafront are controlled, and Brighton & Hove City Council needs seven full working days' notice for a suspension, so raise it when you ask for a quote. East Saltdean falls under Lewes District Council, which runs its own arrangements.
Flats near the Lido and at Grand Ocean mean lifts, corridors and shared entrances, so book the lift with your building manager early. On exposed cliff top streets we wrap and strap mirrors, glass and large flat items against the sea wind.
Yes. We cover all of Saltdean, including East Saltdean, plus Ovingdean, Woodingdean and Telscombe Cliffs on the same runs. Moving along the coast? See our Rottingdean removals and Peacehaven removals pages, or read our guide to living in Saltdean before you move.
Every move is fully insured, five star rated and quoted with no hidden fees.
Every van carries £40,000 Goods in Transit cover and £5 million Public Liability, including any extra vans we bring in for bigger moves. We also hold employee and breakdown cover, with a spare van on standby, so a problem on the road doesn't stop your move.
We're rated 5.0 on Google from hundreds of five star reviews, 10/10 on Checkatrade and 10/10 on Getamover. Every review comes from a real customer, so read them before you book and see how other moves went.
We quote by the hour or as a set price, depending on your move, and explain any overtime terms before you book, so you know what happens if the day runs long. A deposit secures your date and comes off your final invoice.
