Multiple Parking Zones Across Different Areas
Eastbourne's residential parking zones cover the town centre, seafront, and surrounding areas. Town centre zones A, G and S operate 8am to 6pm Monday to Saturday. The seafront zone N operates 8am to 6pm Monday to Sunday. Meads has its own zone M. Bay suspensions are applied for through East Sussex County Council. We check the specific zone and hours for your street before the day and handle the suspension application as soon as your completion date is confirmed.
Meads And Old Town Period Properties
The Meads area has some of Eastbourne's largest Victorian and Edwardian detached houses on wide tree-lined roads, with zone M permit parking and generous street widths that suit a Luton van. The Old Town to the north has a tighter historic street pattern with narrow lanes and more restricted access. These two areas look similar on a map but have very different access conditions. We confirm the vehicle approach and loading point for both areas before the day based on your specific address.
Sovereign Harbour Managed Access
Sovereign Harbour is a modern marina development built in stages from the 1990s, with waterside apartments, townhouses, and its own access road network. Like Brighton Marina, it operates as a managed development rather than a standard public highway. Loading arrangements for flats and townhouses here need to be confirmed with the development management in advance. We ask you to arrange this before completion day so we are not waiting at an entry point while keys are being released.
Eastbourne Airbourne And August Access Disruption
Eastbourne Airbourne, one of the largest free airshows in Europe, takes place in August each year and results in road closures, parking restrictions, and significant traffic disruption across much of the town for several days. If your completion date falls during Airbourne weekend we flag this at the point of booking. Access to seafront and town centre addresses during the airshow requires a plan that goes well beyond standard completion day logistics.
Completion Day Removals In Brighton, Hove & Sussex
A completion day removal is a house move timed to the legal completion of your sale or purchase. You can't get into your new home until your solicitor confirms the funds and the agent releases your keys, and every sale below you in the chain has to complete first. So we plan around that moment: pack and load in the morning, keep in touch through the day, and unload as soon as the keys are in your hand. We cover completion days across Brighton and Hove, from Kemptown, Hanover and Brighton Marina to Preston Park, Patcham and Hove, plus Portslade, Lewes, Newhaven, Peacehaven, Seaford, Lancing, Worthing and Eastbourne.
Loaded Before Your Keys Release
We pack and load in the morning so you leave your sale property on time, then drive over as soon as the agent calls. For larger homes we run more than one van, so everything is on board by midday where your contract needs it.
Planned Around Your Chain
Chains slip, solicitors run late and keys arrive when they arrive. You deal directly with Peter all day, and any waiting time is charged at our standard rate under the overtime clause, never as a surprise fee.
Storage If Completion Slips
If completion moves to the next day, your belongings go into short term storage instead of sitting on a van. Every load is covered by £40,000 Goods in Transit per vehicle and £5 million Public Liability.
Handling Timing Uncertainty And Chain Delays
Eastbourne sees a wide range of chain types from chain-free marina flats to longer family chains in Hampden Park and Langney. Key release timing varies accordingly. We hold in the area until your solicitor confirms, stay in contact throughout, and adjust arrival timing around zone hours and any event restrictions on your specific completion date.
